You can walk into any store and you will be bombarded with tons of toys but they will all be plastic, battery operated, beeping toys. Sure these would be the easy gift to get or give, grandparents would love the ease and plethora of choices, but those toys are hardly crunchy and really do not help your little one’s brain develop.
Yes some beeping, battery operated toys can be used to help learn things… I have no problem admitting that video games are not unknown in my house… I’m just saying that all natural toys will broaden your child’s imagination and work a different part of their brain than repeating a flashing light sequence would.
In light of how difficult crunchy gift giving can be, I thought I’d share some crunchier gift ideas that I’ve come across. This crunchy gift guide is focused solely on kids.
Now not all these toys are 100% flawless, some may be made in China although with many safety checks, some may be in the cheaper category of wood, etc. There are also some gifts that are pretty pricey and some that are reasonably priced.
You can use my list as a starting point but I do still recommend looking into the toys/companies more so that you know if they fully meet your own personal requirements.
